About FATA Worldwide
From America To Africa (FATA) Worldwide, Inc. is a cross-continental nonprofit led by people with disabilities in the U.S. and Kenya. Founded in 2025, FATA exists to transform lives by providing mobility, dignity, and opportunity for individuals who are too often forced to crawl on the ground due to lack of resources. Our vision is bold: to develop a 20-acre inclusive community in Nyawara, Kenya, that combines accessible housing, healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, and sustainable farming. Unlike traditional models, our housing program prepares participants for entrepreneurship and homeownership while offering training for high-skilled personal care providers mirroring the successful SJ Wilkes Homes project in Maryland. FATA operates under the umbrella of the SJ Wilkes Foundation, Inc. while we complete nonprofit registration in Maryland, and we meet weekly across continents to ensure transparency, accountability, and progress. Together, we are building a future where independence and inclusion are possible for every person with a disability.
Our Vision / Mission
FATA Worldwide is more than a mobility-aid initiative... we are creating an inclusive community in Kenya where people with disabilities can access housing, healthcare, education, and business opportunities. Our goal is to break cycles of poverty and ableism by equipping participants with the tools to live independently, thrive as entrepreneurs, and become homeowners.
